1st sampler was a yamaha rs7000. 2nd sampler was an MPC1000 (which is still my main sampler used). 3rd is my S3000 rack. (You know poor mans mpc3000!!!) The RS7000 was cool though as it was a foot in the door to the life of sampling.

Akai MPC2000 Classic - Used this for years till the screen starting dying, so I sold it and copped the.....
Akai S6000 - got it for the pop off screen :D ILL! but it was too deep at the time, a creativity Killer, returned for the......
Yamaha A4000 w/MPD16 - Awesome sampler! Still have it after 9 years. Workflow is slow now compared to newer samplers but I still use it.
Roland Juno G - Autochop and everything now w/ vers 2.0. I still have it and use it, but not for sampling since I got my......
Akai MPC2500 - I love this Sampler!!!! If JJos was available for the mpc5000, I would cop that instead, but since its not then..
Mpc2500 it is.. Yeah.. me and ma B!tch

And yeah yeah yeah.. I have had and still have SoftSamplers.. but Im not listing those.. not cause they are wack or anything..they certainly have their place.. BUT because anyone with a PC can download a free or cracked one and use it.. There is something about hardware though.. paying for, loving, mashin buttons and appreciating ACTUAL GEAR.. that gets lost in the soft sampler/synth world. I mean you build a relationship with gear and get to know it and master it.. Some cats even name their gear like their cars! Because its tangible.. Do that with software.. Not a good look!
Just my opinion.

MPC 1000, which I bought with a full terms worth of student loan instead of food. Still have it next to my bed so I can mess around without needing to be near the computer. Replaced the tact switches a few times, and usually go back to it when I need to refresh my brain. Limitations = useful.

E-MU Ultra 6400. More or less brand new, got it off a bloke who didn't use it, still has the plastic on the screen. Now fitted with CF card reader. Serious filters and modulation capabilities.

Akai S3000i. Bought it on a whim as it was going mega cheap. Fixed the screen and replaced the knobs. Definitely a workhorse, but it's f*cking HUGE. Literally the deepest rackmount unit I've ever seen.

Still have them all, but don't use them as often as I should.
