i'm installing a card reader (one of those http://home.tiscali.nl/~smeyer/mpc/) and i checked with a potentiometer and the internal power cable that suplyed the fllopy drive has the black wire with 5volts, and the red is earth, when normaly(in computers) is the other way around. as some one open theire 2k and found out the same problem? need some feedback as soons as possible cause my 2k is just ther like 4 days and I have to use my zoom box to let criativity out, and that's *****

Just make sure that the wire on the outer edge of the molex plug has the +5 volt power and the wire next to it is ground. Those are the only two wires you need in the plug - leave off the +12 volt wire and its ground. Looking head on at the molex plug with the rounded part of the plug pointing up, the +5 volt wire should be in the hole on the far right with the ground wire next to it.

After you put those wires into the molex plug, test with your voltmeter with the positive lead on the connector closest to the edge and the negative lead on the connector next to it - you should read a +5 volts.
