yo, beat kangz, my question still was not answered, is there gonna be a demo version of the thang software??? Im not dropping 150.00 on software that i cant demo, im unemployed right now, all major software has demos... if no demo, then I must wait for a torrent, then I will get to demo the real thing, or thang.... let me know...

the virtual beat thing seems to be cool .. kind of a virtual all in 1 box...3000 sounds for 149 $ thats a good price...and you get a sampler and a sequencer...

999 $ for the hard beat thang seems to be also okay...cause how much do you pay for mpc 2500?or the MV8800?
or the mc 808? new?

i guess that hiphop market is a hard market...




and i also guessing and asking myself if the hardware beat thing is based on lil linux system ?

still think the hardware looks real dopew i had the esx and was a fan of those and looks like they applied the features to this new box and added some next shit.

only questions marks to me is the price would of been nice if they could get it in at the sp606 range like no more then $599

but that aint happening and they should give the machine out to a bunch of established produced to make beats and default patterns on so we can get an idea of the sonical range of the machine cos as mentioned alot the stuff comming out has that pop rap feel.

i know its a sampler but would be good to hear what some other producers can freak on it.

Hey Kangz, does the Thang have a touch-screen? I noticed in the video that Boom Bap was adjusting parameters by touching the screen and sliding his finger every now and then.

Or he needs glasses?

Look through the prev posts...from what I remember it's quite high. The initial spec was the same as the MPC-2000XL 96PPQ I think... but they said they want to give you the option to use that or something higher much what like the MPC-4000 has

or you could use the old double tempo trick... if that helps any.

Don't know how folks can deal with 96 ppq. It just isn't enough. If you always quantize everything it's fine but if you turn off quantize and play some 16 notes with triplets it won't play back what you just recorded. At least 384-480 ppq if you want it to record your playing right with no quantize.
