micro korg to mpc1000

I have the micro korg hooked up to the mpc to lay bass, when i change sequences though the midi sounds dont follow i have to put it back on the bank that has the sounds i want on the korg...making it difficult to record and i have to put sequences together in the editor on the computer instead of making a song on the mpc. was wondering if any one knows why this is....instead of play the the bass sound i want when i press play it plays the techno first bank...and i have to put it on the the bass bank...dunno if that made sense, appreciate it if someone could help thanks.

You need to understand how MIDI program change works.

Read the Program change events on this page:

Then refer to the manual of the MicroKorg an MPC.
