It should work, but remember its harder to back up a hard drive then it is a zip disc. I got rid of my external drive, cause what happens when it crashes and i didn't back it up recently, I lose all my work.

I´m using a 1 GB SCSI HD with my MPC, I divided it into 4 Partitions, fromating it with the MPC. But I also back up my Work on a 100 MB Zip and on a Sony 640 MB MO Drive... ´cause when the Harddisk crashes, everything is gone.... I allwas save my Work twice on different Mediums, ´cause I lost some of my work when I was using just 1.4 MB Floppys, before I had my Zip/HD.
I think, it´s more easier to store Sounds on ZIP`s than on a large HD. I have dfferent Zip´s for Kick/Snares/Hats/full Soundsets etc. and different Disk for my Beats/Songs.

Peace
