Keep cursor at specified Step Edit Position?

In step edit:
Is it possible to edit an event at say position 1.1.00 altough the sequencer has played past this position?

This could be useful when using Midi CC 7 to set volumes on external hardware while playing back a pattern.

Yes, you can scroll around to edit anywhere in Step Edit.

But the problem is I can't edit a CC value while playing. I can't "freeze" the cursor at one value since the step edit window follows playback. Seems to be the same in Grid Edit.

Best thing would be to be able to turn off the "follow playback" functionality at times. Can I do that?
