I am newbie in this forum and maybe this is discussed before. So please, in that case please don't shoot me.
Also i am not native english-speaking person, so forgive me my 3-year old kid writing style.
I got XL couple weeks ago. I ordered one of those simple IDE/CF card readers from local dealer.
Its simple board without any mounting brackets. Origin somewhere in the far-east.
Anyway, i had 2GB Sandisk CF-card. OS version 1.2 regognized it, but i had to boot from floppy.
I try to flash OS to the onboard memory, which was un succesful. It seems to flash ok, but didn't boot from memory. Allways i must put the Floppy in and boot from it. I tried this many times, becouse someone here was got succes after long time. i wasn't so lucky.
Then (just for curious) i changed floppy to the one where i have v1.14. I loaded os and flashed it to the memory. It worked! Although, it didn't regognize ATAPI(memory). After that (just more curious) i put v1.2 floppy in and copied it to the flash memory. Power off and on and Voilá: Now it will boot without floppy and CF is there.
