SAVING TO COMPACT FLASH ON MPC 1000

Every time I try to save to the compact flash card on my mpc 1000 it says that i have a system error. I bought a new compact flashn card and when I try to save to it it says that there isnt a compact flash card in the mpc. has anyone ever come across this problem? I am very frustrated as I have not been able to save anything on the mpc. Please someone help me.

if you haven't already, try formatting the flash card using the MPC. It will delete anything that is on it though, so copy whatever it is that you're tryna keep.

I have also had this exact problem recently. Iv backed up all my files and reformatted the cf card I was using and still had the same problem, so I tried another card and the problem has continued even when creating new prgs, seqs, ect and trying to resave, I don’t know how often people come across this problem but it’s *I**inG me off as I am unable to save anything at the moment.
I would be very grateful to know if anyone else has come across this problem and what there solution was
