Has anyone ever had any dealings with these guys? They are selling a bunch of MPC3000s on eNay and the machines look very nice, albeit a bit expensive. Just wondering what you guys think of them and their prices.

Very pricey!

I was thinking the MPC3000 would cost me anywhere between $600 to $1000. But prepal.com does show current street prices at $1500 for the MPC3000 and $2000 for the LE. Still, I had a case of sticker shock when I saw their prices.

fasttrackpimp, I hope you sent more than one message. Sometimes a message or email will just get overlooked in the rush or lost enroute. I'm sure it has happened to my company as well and I'd hate to be judged on the basis of one lost message or email. If you don't hear back after a few days, try again!

it functions perfectly, but cosmetically needs some work.

The machines they have look like they're in really good shape which is probably why they are charging a premium for them.

I'm not a fan of prepal -- prices are all over the place -- Llet me know where I can find a Korg MS-20 for $730 or an ARP 2600 for $2400 and I'll change my mind about them...

JD, your estimate on the 3000 cost is pretty spot on -- if you don't care about the cosmetics so much, you can score one for under $700 easily.

MPCHunter, I used your site to find the MPC2000 Classic I just bought for $375. Very nice site. Do you do that by hand or is it RSS feeds?

Funny, I actually emailed them through ebay once just to tell them their prices are rediculous. They responded telling me they are mint, yadda yadda. But truth be told, I've gotten same gear they are selling mint for close to 1/3 of the price. Check out what else they sell too. Like 3 floppy disks with sounds for like $50 or $80 bucks. I've checked their completed listing though and I don't think they've sold a 3000 or asr 10 in awhile, which is good to see. I guess I take it to heart when people blow up prices beyond normalcy.

I've been watching these guys closely for some time now and indeed their machines are mint, but their prices are way out of this world. Probably they are counting on the newbie factor, where someone ignorant would simply choose theirs because they will believe that by paying sooooo much more for the same machine, no problems will rise in the future. Yeah right, it's the same machine with the same factory weaknesses guys...

I would have simply ignored them but these guys are driving all the rest prices up, which is in fact really bad for everyone. I mean, 1100$ for an ASR-10?! $1800 for the purple screen one?
