pretty much the same story as the rest of yall. been djing for almost 20yrs now. about to make that jump into serato, but will and always buy vinyl.

right on LT thanks for the heads up on that i will have to check it out ,right now it's just time to clean.
oh yeah i have read that it will only read so much no matter what the drive size is maybe they did a os upgrade i'll have to check that too.i'm just running what it came with ,i pretty much just use it to record on ,in the begining i use to do edits and shlt but , i need to get back to that part of it again.

So I get to my Thursday night gig last week and realize I forgot my needles
The other dj wasn't due for at least an hour plus so I was forced to use Serato's internal mode

Adjusting pitch with the mouse pad and using cue poinnts like crazy
I was playing a bunch of funk and breaks and killing it

So Friday night I'm spinning at this bar and even with the needles I was using cue points for drops and breakdowns. Added some filters from my mixer too

Crazy how dope serato is, with the cue points it's like having an mp plus a dj setup all in one

you can also set the cue points to respond to midi notes.
then trigger the cue points from your mpc pads.

Yeah I got my mp midi'ed up at the crib but for most gigs that's not too practical
Korg has got a nice little $50 controller I'm prolly gonna get

But after 15yrs on vinyl, learning a new way of doing things is not always easy

The point I was making earlier was that when forced to having a gear limitation really forces u to try new techniques

That and serato is a really dope tool to have in my aresonal

I have a korg nano key. it works well.


don't hesitate to key the nanopad it is a cool piece.
