I've got RCA cables with 1/4 in. adapters going into the record inputs and coming out of my mixers record outputs. I'm only getting a signal on my MPC on the Right in the Record screen and no signal on the Left when fully plugged in. What do I need to do to repair this problem?

hopefully you have the right kind of adapters. Im thinking you might not.

the RCA to 1/4 phono Adapters you have.. on the 1/4 connector is there 2 black strips or just one black strip?

if just one, then they are correct. If there is two on each connector that you got the wrong adapter.

two strips means is a TRS connector, one means its a TS connector.

Tip Ring Sleeve, Versus Tip Sleeve. TS is mono and TRS is stereo or unbalanced versus Balanced.

If I am right.. you just need to get either the correct cable or correct adapters.

a set of 1/4 inch TS to RCA would work. or two female rca/Male TS 1/4 inch adapters would work too.

OR, it could be something as simple as setting the record ins correctly as described above.

let me know if u have questions.

If you tried swiching the cables (swich L/R inputs on the mpc) and you still get an input only on the right side it can't be the cables. I think its only the settings.

You can check if the hardware works by swiching the Audio-Through on (Input-Settings: Stereo!) If you can hear the sound from both sides the input-jacks are ok :)
