Yeah Fung you are right it was MDF, I just couldn't think of the acronym at the time I posted the pics. The discussion on building your own desk had mentioned MDF wasn't a good idea to use either because it gets weak if moisture gets to it; but ideally you don't want moisture around your equipment anyway. So if it does I am double f'ed...

I agree with the classiness of the framed poster, I need to get some art, etc. set up in the work area. I got some old classic album posters and isht I need to frame up now.

Wow, that's some birthday present! I'd be lucky to even score a pair of undies for my birthday.

How are the drum pads on the NeKo LX5?

awesome setup, roninator... i just got myself a x0xb0x as well with that very same black overlay... mine has a few extra mods to it though. judging by the red DONE button on yours, i'm assuming you got it from x0xsource... i'm loving mine so far.

on another note... those monitors look so tiny compared to all that gear in the room... any low end on those?
By roninator Sat Jul 25, 2009 6:48 pm
x0xsource indeed. i got fed up on the waiting list. i'm very pleased with this little fella. i was considering getting a 303 but instead used the x0x change to buy the aeron which was well needed.

the monitors are small but they don't deal with anything below 110Hz. it's the blue sky media desk 2.1 system. there is an 8" sub together with the amp and crossover below the desk. it pumps and shakes believe me ;) perfectly adequate for the room size.

What you got in the rack under the Mac, I spy a Roland RE-201 in the mix.
