People still come up with boxed and new Nintendos, Commodore 64s . . . stuff put into storage and forgotten about.

My dream is finding an SP at a garage sale that some mom took out of her son's room after he moved out -- going for like $30.

No Joke I think about that all the time. Finding ill stuff at some old ladies garage sale.

Since I am out here in the Middle East, I am hoping to walk up in an old Arabic store and find some old Roland Juno's, TB's, SH's or an MC just sittin collecting dust next to a used hookah pipe.

I found a powerbook G4 (the comp im typing on right now) with no battery in a garage sale. the corners were kinda scuffed and beat up, but it still looked in alright condition. the old lady selling it claimed her son said it was broken. got it for $20 (all i had on me). went back home, plugged my charger in and it worked fine! bought a battery later on. now its my internet computer. score!

anyway, that would be dope to find a brand new 2kxl... im pretty sure theres probably one some where.

A little off-topic, but one of my friends just got a brand new TB-303 in an unopened box. A small musicstore in my town closed down last month and had to sell everything cheap. This little sweatheart went for about $150!!!!

Now back to topic. Of course there is some 2000xl's out there!!

maybe, but how the hell would you find them?

tough job persuading the busy floor staff at your local guitar centre to search every nook and cranny of the warehouse

do manufacturers recall discontinued stock?

as for thrift store finds, or "junk" shops as we call them in england (europe, near paris)

mint roland RE301 space echo, 100 gbp, that was a happy day :)

True!

Thats just a dumb ass question!!
I hate people who sit on shit and dont use it.
Why the **** would you buy something and not use it?
What the hell are you waiting for.....some natural disaster to come along and **** it up for you?

Maybe you already have a working one. Why break the seal on a pristine one? Maybe you're smart enough to realize that whatever you paid for it, you will get triple later.
