About memory upgrade of MPC 1K

Hi everyone. Recently I bought MPC 1000 bk. By default it has 16mb of main memory and JJOS 1.0

It's not enough to edit long sample. I got "Insufficient Memory" many times.

So, I decided to upgrade memory and I bought this RAM.

Samsung 256MB PC-133 SODIMM 144PIN CL3

I put the RAM into memory slot and turn on my MPC. But finally I got this message.

Boot block ver.1.03
Boot on Sodimm memory check
Total mem 128mbytes
Check memory...
Pass 1: failed (88000004)
The problem was found in memory
Please check memory
System halt...

I tested 3 another RAM of same type, but I got same error.

is there anyone had same experience?

Search MPC1000 Ram Upgrade on ebay.com you can buy it for like $20 or 25 but it will take about two or three weeks to come but it will work like you I also bought other sodimm ram for computer stores that was later returned but the one from ebay work

Install another version of JJ OS an see if it works.

your memory chip is loose... tighten that shit... make it click.

Thanks for reply everybody. I think it doesn't matter with JJOS version. Because the error occurs before OS booting. When I switch OS as JJOS 2.0, I had same error. Finally I bought new RAM from ebay.

I hope this RAM to work. Because I live in Korea, I'll wait for more than 3 weeks, I think.

I know there is a version of jj os that had some boot issues.. it couldnt hurt to try. but its your machine and your money..
