hey peeps,
i've got my mpc 2000 synced with cubase sx2,
i have the mpc as the master and cubase as a slave , when i play a virtual synth on cubase which is set to midi channel 1 on the mpc that's cool, the only problem is when i play another virtual instrument on midi channel 2, the midi channel 1 sound then changes to the same virtual instrument on midi channel 2, same goes if i make next virtual instrument on midi channel 3, both channel 1 and 2 sound will be the same instrument as om midi 3.
its very frustrating don't know if i got its setup wrong on the mpc or cubase. any help would be helpful

Just to be sure:

1. You have a MIDI track set up for each soft synth you're running

2. You have each MIDI track set to input only from a specified channel. By default, the track may be set fo All MIDI Input

3. You have each MIDI track set to output straight to the VST instrument or to the Reason Hardware Interface for Rewire instruments, or whatever the case may be

4. Each track on the MPC for a given instrument is set for the same channel as described in point 2

geniedon you have to set up each midi track to its own channel with the "INPUT TRANSFORMER" in cubase sx beacuse right now as it is-its set up to be the same for every midi track you creat. if you do a search for my name, you will find a link with a step by step on how to do it..

I have nuendo 2 ,so sx 2 will be the same for the set up.

Not possible with the 1000. The 1000 only sends/receives sync by MIDI Clock. Cubase can not receive, only send MIDI Clock signals. If you had a 2000 or other unit, you could send Cubase MIDI Machine Control (MMC) signals to control start/stop and record functions, and scooting through bars, I believe.

There's a post about this on FutureProducers.com I believe.
