due to the fact that there is no "shift" button like on the 2000xl (">" was "next step", "shift + >" was next event) on the 3000 u got to do it like i described.
yes that's what i do but there is no need to exit the step editor menu, i just use cut and paste with next step ... i mean, i only do it when i want to move a little, just one step or two.
To move a chord far inside the sequences i think the copy events button remains the best (-:
