How about $1000 a shot of people's hard earned money if you just released the thing.
Im not going to hate what I don't know, but Im not going to love it either....

After 90 pages, someone finally gets it right....

are all in the works now. This will be virtual Pro and be complete in about a month or 2.
People who purchase virtual now will get free upgrades as we impliment features and will have access to our dev team so we can impliment the new features based on user feedback. Those who wait for Pro will pay a higher price and mis out on a chance to help direct the project...... Of course we will always listen to users even once we are feature complete but this is a chance to have a major impact RIGHT NOW.

I respect what you guys are doing and hope everything works out for you, but why release your software without having these basic necessities that producers use now? No Auto chop, timestretch, step seq, VST, yet? Makes me a bit skeptical about the hardware unit, and what it will and will not have have. And what kind of OS problems might come up. I kinda highly doubt the hardware will be out in Sept. Mass production of units take some time, especially if your software inside the unit isn't kinked out yet. I know you guys are anxious to get this out, alot of people want to play with it too. I just hope ya'll have everything in line.

Also, its gonna be tough for reps to market and sell your product to hip hop producers if you can't timestretch or autochop yet. I can just see someone doing a demonstration & someone asking to see that functionality & saying, "it' coming in a few months" Thats not a good selling point.

the mpc 4k remains the only one with a full sampler in it, meaning it can take and make or play actual keygroups like a rack sampler, not just phrases or spread samples across the keys.

still not sure why they didn't continue this with the new ones but it's all good.

the modulation and routing tools allow it to behave like a workstation or synth, it's a monster.

loaded akai and other sample cds of real instruments, hooked up a keyboard, and made music

the jjos mpc1k has modulation routing options also as for keygroups and spreading samples thats just like 16 levels on the pads or you can just set up a prgram full of multi-samples for that instruments then hooks a midi keyboards up and ur doing the same thing.

but the beat thang does the whole spreading samples accross the keys also so looks like this thang can hang with the 4000.

uh no, the 4k has 16 leves bro, that is NOT the same as keygroups in the 4k.

have you ever messed with a rack sampler? or something like kontakt or anything?

it's totally different than what an mpc does, it was made to recreate full instruments not just chromatically pitch something up and down.

I'm anxious to see what the THANG does with it's keygroups, sounds like they are doing something similar, but the 1k can't do that. I will get the thang before getting any other mpc out, that's all I'm saying.

they thang looks like it's taking great features from multiple machines, I'm very interested in it. And since I got rid of all my hardware besides the 4k, it's looking even better.

I can't wait to try it man, no doubt. :D

Hey BeatKangz, I tried to pre-order the Thang but apparently there's a message saying you don't deliver to Puerto Rico.

I hope you can solve that because there's alot of international cats on here and it'll be messed for us if we can't get a Thang. 9mean.

Beatkangz, don't miss out on your international sales.

America is barely 5% of the worlds population.

Ill-Green,

Where did you see that we aren't shipping to Puerto Rico? We are doing international orders no problem. Go ahead and try it again. If you have anymore problems email [email protected].

We buy a lot of stuff though. Even if they had all of the major languages covered, Int'l sales would still only account for less than 20% of their overall sales (80% going to North America). If they didn't build it to support unicode or multibyte characters, it's even less.

This goes for the hardware and software. Is there an auto chop feature?

they said in the latest videos that it does, but they didn't show it yet.

Ok cool. It would be great to get confirmation from the Beat Kangs as to if both or just hardware support autochop. :D

I think earlier they said autochop isn't in the software now, will be in the updated "pro" version, free update to those that get the current version.
