VST, Rewire, Rex, timestretch, step seq,, if it still doesent have these features then im gonna have to hold off, and hear you guys almost talked me into buying this, i would have been pissed if it didnt have step seq,, thats a basic function.. i thought u guys told me it would rewire with reason too??!! as for buying this and waiting for it to improve,, being from Tennessee myself if there is one thing ive learned it's "dont count ur chickens before they hatch"

Today was my first time seeing the "thang". I respect the fact that it's made by hip-hop cats. That's big! (pause) This might be the first truly independent contribution to gear from Hip-Hoppers, so I really gotta give these guys respect...or wait there is the Pro X Fade by Eclectic Breaks and now they're sponsoring a Formula 3 driver. hehe

Um, I like the way it looks initially, but I'm not feeling the grill at all. It does look like a damn transformer car grill. I can't say I'm feeling the name either. If I'm beeing honest, it can be next level and have a mature/fun aesthetic like Teenage Engineering's OP1, but got damn that grill ruins it for me.

But anyway, has who designed or programed the Thang been discussed? I'm very interested in hearing about the true behind the scene Thang design sessions. How was it narrowed down to what it is? I imagine it was made over seas and one of you guys went out to receive the prototype....that's the type of footage I'd like to see.

so does it have a step edit or a grid screen to see and EDIT individual notes like a 2500 for an example???

and it's got to have timestretch with a algorithm that's on point..

the grill can come off if u hate it that much but i think it looks aight that screen does look fly would be good to see the tutorials but they really need to get the vinly game on display in the next vid

so what does it look like w/o the grill?

and also is it fairly straight forward with audio tracks, like multiple passes with a guitar? i really like how quick i can layer and build with audio tracks on jj0s. 8 is doable, but 16+ would be sweet. jus wondering how well that approach will work.

Hey I hadn't used my ipod in a minute and today when I turned it on it happened to be on Croup's Beat Thang beat tape. Beat Kangs should get homeboy to do some demos for the Beat Thang. haha

To Chop or Not to Chop thats the question.......

Drum roll please.....

Auto chop in 3 weeks lol... Its actually a fairly easy piece of code. We are writing it now. Along with RTAS, VST, Audio units, REX, Time stretch and more..... Its all in process. One step at a time.

We'll have tons of features we will continue to add but the foundation has to be solid FIRST. Auto chop is an extra not a core feature...... Ours will use the same sample so it takes up less memory. Its non destructive. Finds the zero crossing and sets a start and end point of each piece and copies to multiple pads.... it will be easy to go back and fine tune one specific pad....

Both Software and Hardware WILL AUTO CHOP!!!

If folks dont buy a beat machine cause a grill or a name......... Really dude? Send me an email and i'll include a hex key and a can of spray paint free of charge........ you can pull the grill off and paint XJRXW-9000 on it
