So I've got this Yamaha mini-disc 8 track recorder. I'm wondering the best way to hook up the 2000xl to it, so that the panning is correct for the left and right channels. For instance, if I hook up the right channel from the 2000xl to track 8 on the recorder, the recorder takes the signal and splits it, and it is then routed to both the right and left monitors. Even when I pan track 7 to the right channel monitor, it still bleeds into the left channel. First, is this normal, and second, how do y'all do it? Thanks in advance...

If you got the Assignable 8 Outs, then just record the beat with each output hooked up to each input on the recorder. Then mix it, then bounce the whole project to the 8th channel. I dont know what kind of multitrack your usin but they usually got those features on it.
