the asr10 has the ability to "chop" the "parameters" of a sample without changing the lengths of the original sample... you then assign those "sample parameters" to whatever key you want those particular "sample parameters" on... which is a more memory friendly way of "chopping" samples than copying and truncating over and over...

pretty much. so it's just copying the sample start and end info to pad/key instead of introducing a new slice.wav.. i've always wanted this feature. not that it's hard at all to hit trim/extract whatever, but it will save that time and increase work flow for me.

so does that mean there wont be chops as such, just working from loops with an option to slice samples for export?

yea, basicly... the asr10 was way ahead of its time when it dropped...

Look, I am not trying to piss on this thing, but you guys want to release in September and you do not even have functions like autochop working? No you just started on it this week? Well euh good luck with that release date, hope you find enoug time between september and now to beta test...

^^ its no big deal you can easily add those features in os updates like the os that came with my mpc neva had auto chop but downloaded the jjos and it was all good.
