I've heard way too many of these stories and seen it happen in person . That's why I held off when the whole laptop DJ craze started til someone made all the mistakes and someone else learned from it i.e. Serato, plus I'd take a Rane product over a Stanton one any day of the week .

Totaly Rane is quality gear and has been for years Stanton have been making cr*p thats progressively got worse since they sold out and moved from NY to FL
One thing Stanton were great at is a great sounding cart now they can't even get that right..quality is just not there any more
Stanton invented the cart you could dj and back cue with and for mix use imo you still can't beat the old models..they don't fare very well for scratching though.

I've seen serato crash on cats too. Although it's drastically better than Final Scratch! But that's why I use REAL VINYL it's never failed on me. It's crazy now though...I had a kid come up to me the other day after doing an in-store performance and ask how I was djing without a laptop! Nuts.

WOW can things suck more lol
I use 100% REAL vinyl too I don't like using a computer for way to many reasons plus I like the feel that real vinyl gives you and the sound

capsicum is the spicy stuff in peppers... a lot of those extreme hot sauces that are popular down in louisianna and those places are made with added capsicum extract.

Capsicum extract is just concentrated capsicum juices, usually those crazy hot hotsauces use habanero extract.

the only thing I have against it is... it is all heat and not much peppery flavour.

I tried the hot sauce voted #2 in the world for spiciness....The bottle came in a small wooden coffin. This asian dude I was eating with was like "It cant be THAT hot and proceeded to dump 1/4 of the bottle onto his plate. He dunked a spring roll into it and chowed down. 2 min later he was in the bathrrom and didnt reappear for an hour and a half. I dipped the end of a chop stick in it, barely making contact with the surface of the hot sauce. My whole face went numb below my nose. Later I had to take a piss. I washed my hands like crazy first, but the oils from that shit left my shlong burning the rest of the night.

Moral of the story: Spicy is okay if it tastes good. If it makes your face numb and your johnson burn, its shares the same characteristics as an STD. Avoid at all costs.

I can feel the sounds I'm scratching in real vinyl, not in time coded digi vinyl. I got lots of reasons myself. I try and stay outta serato conversations cuz it's like opening a giant can of worms with me. I could go off for a long time about how it's destroying the industry that made us dj's in the first place.

how so? by digitally connecting turntables to computers so old school DJ's dont feel the need to chuck their technics in exchange for a controller of some sort such as torq or hercules if they want to have anything to do with current DJing methods?

come on, sure.. these programs made people like me able to spin tracks. but the good DJ skill is more then good beat matching abilities... they know about mood control, pulse control, and all that stuff.
