LCD Ordering (MPC 2000) and how to know if memory is 32????

Hello just acquired a very cheap MPC 2000. LCD has one line vertically accross, just want to prepare for the future.

Where should I get one? Can someone send/sell me one?

I've check ebay, vst, akai, etc.... hard to come by.

PLEASE HELP.


ALso how can you view on the screen or determine whether your MPC 2000 contains the 32mb upgrade or not?

Not sure about your first Q..

but if you go Shift - Sample, then press open window on the sample time length it will tell you how much sample time you have left and the amount of overall memory. I got screwed with my 2k from Japan, was supposed to come with 32mb but only came with 2mb.

be prepared to dish out 300-350 on a new screen man... because when you can find them they are that expensive.

keep checking ebay.. they will appear.
