Problem with swing. Help!!

Hello boys and girls

I just got off work for holiday with my MPC 2500 and such a disaster. To cut the story short. I am on JJ OS XL - the newest version. I have a 4 gigs flash card. Normally I had about 2,5 gigs of samples on it. Before I left home I added 1 Gig more of samples so now they occupy 3,6 Gigs.

Now - today I fired up the MPC and I noticed that the swing function does not work. I go thru all the screens press Fix it and the notes staty the way they stayed. I also got one "system error" massage and the newest project I got needs to be loaded twice cause the first time I load it, it misses some samples. Any advice? Could this be the card? Is that the dreader 2 GIG limit thingy? Anything else?
Oh and one more thing- I noticed that samples with long names are not recognized by MPC. Is that normal? Will changing the names to shortet solve the problem?

Would appreciate any help as I have a lot of inspiraton being here at the Sea that I dont want to waste.

You should have posted this in the JJ Forum.

MPC 1000-2500 can only handle up to 16 Characters (filename). Yes renaming the files and Making sure they are 16bit will make them work.

Make sure the Note you want changed is selected.
