trying to make a loop

aight I need some help...I think I got this loop looped, I got nice sounding to and end points in the loop screen...how do I get this into the sequence? I went to params and got the bpm for four bars, so it should play smoothly over 8, right? do i put it in step edit mode? if so how long are 4 bars in D: parameter setting? any other tips about making the ill loops please drop....

Do you have 'loop' turned 'on'? If so, you have to hold the pad down until it loops right, i.e. if it's a two bar loop, you hold it down for two bars as you record. If you have the sample on mono (and loop 'off'), you can enter it in step edit mode. Again, if the sample is two bars, and your sequence is, say, four bars, you have to enter the sample @ 1.00.00 and 3.00.00.

I did have loop on, when I was trying to get it in record I would release for the second bar early or id hold on to it to long which resulted in both loops getting erased not really working.....

If you do have a perfectly looped for the BPM of your track and it is one bar or two bars, turn of loop in the trim screen and change it to mono in the parameters screen. just trigger at the begining of each bar or everyother bar if its a 2 bar loop.

but what i was wondering was....i got a sample that i am using as a fill and i have the loop points set on the sample...right now when I play the sequence the sample resets from the beginning of the sample and then into the loop section of the sample again. my question is how do i get the loop section to continue for a longer period of time without it goin back to the beginnin of the sample....kinda confuzed

sounds like you have it set right to loop just the loop portion. you could always use trim to trim out the loop portion and assign that new trimmed loop to its own pad. then set the trimmed loop pad to note off the og loop so when you hit that pad (trimmed loop) it will stop the other og loop from playing. if you need more help on note off let us know.
