have you ever considered a mc-909? or have you used one? being an electribe style of guy I am curious on your opinion of the mc-909.

Ive checked out the specs on the 909, and judging from that it sounds like a very powerful, impressive machine.
However I've heard many bad things about the lay out of the sequencer and the Built in LCD display that seems to burn out prematurely in every unit. Evidently roland never did a recall on the units or even addressed the problem.
Aside from that the 909 sounds like a samplists dream come true. Who knows, I may pick a used one up one of these days

A good friend of mine has a 909. He's done a lot of different types of music using it. Seems to work well for him live. But yes his display did burn out recently making it a lot harder for him to operate.

I bought Final Scratch 2 and regret it till this day. I got ot on clearence for $150.00 so, I thought I was really getting a deal. THERE IS NO MORE SUPPORT FOR FINAL SCRATCH. I use a MAC. It's not compatible with the latestversions of iTunes. It crashes when it loads up. You have in import and analyze all of your music. That sucked big time. I knew I should have followed my first mind and got Serato. Stanton makes Final Scratch, but Native Instruments made the software. I think Final Scratch would have been good with some software improvements. I love the interface; FireWire. Serato needs to go FireWire.

Korg Kp3 - I've gotten a little more organic with my sounds and I just don't use it, and it feels like more of a DJ device.

seemed good ided for portable/ laptop recording pretty much

would get random noise at random times leaving recordings useless

Behringer BCD3000--Damn me for thinking I could DJ with this bullshit. You cant scratch on those small pads.
E-MU Xboard25--Why? I cant play chords with this and its too small. Really plastic.

Samson C01U (USB Condensor Mic)-- I bought this thinking that I could skip purchasing a mixer. Big Mistake. I should have known that I would get crap results out of it. Which is exactly what I got.
MidiMan DM2---I should have never thought I could scratch hooks with this either. Someone help me!

I wouldn't say horrendous but you can adjust the sensitivity of the MV's pads. But yeah... it is different feel coming from banging on the 2000XL's pads vs the MV's pads.
