Open it up again, take out the RAM, clean the contacts with isopropyl and put it in again.

Thanks,

i have taken out the RAM cleaned it and put it back in, still no improvement on the Memory Loss which has left me with about half the sample time that i used to have,
any others suggestions?

much appreciated for your reply,
;p

you have two sticks of ram in there?

try them one at a time... turn on the mpc and check if it gives you the ram. it may be a faulty stick.

Maybe you already have left over data fromk previous songs/beats in your mpc taking up memory already.

Did you try loading directly after you power on (nothing in memory).

Maybe you have a corrupt aps/pgm/all/seq file somewhere on that third disk.

I only have 1 RAM in there should i get another and install?

Also i have copied an O.S. disk from another machine which works so i dont think there is anything on the old O.S. disk,

I also have many disks of 3 (or more) which still wont load after the 2 disk so dont think they are all corrupt,

any other suggestions appreciated,

thank repeat
