Anybody knows, if it is possible to use MPC1000 as a slave (midi) to Protools?
In the MIDI SYNC window on my MPC2500 I can pick between Midi Time Code and Midi Clock. And I can receive MMC.
But in the same window on my MPC1000 I can only pick SYNC IN: 1 or 2. And it is not possible to pick between Midi Time Code and Midi Clock.

I am in the studio, and I need to sync a song on my MPC1000 to Protools. So when I press record start from Protools, my MPC1000-song starts playing...

Best,
Janus

you need to go in the midi settings on the mpc whats that pad 9 or something and turn off the out i think. if its not midi out then its the midi in.. then in protools you go to setup or options and go to midi tab and turn midi beat clock on the device you use to connect to the mpc..like mbox , uno, fastrack blah blah blah make sure the checks are on...then make sure the midi in is connected to you mpc..if u made sense of any of this u should be able to hit like control spacebar to play ur midi files in protools and the beat will kick in on the mpc...On the 1 when u push play it might sound distorded. right at first but it syncs up... i dunno how to fix that so i just wait for the beat to come around or play live..

ps. have prootools, use it to master..but ableton is alot faster easier and lets u be more creative without all the demands that protools wants ....ive noticed i get more done using ableton...
