Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

every time i try to load a sample, first off the compact flash i have is brand new 2 gb this is the first time ive tried but when i go to slice sound it says not enough memory i dont know whats going on thanks

how much ram do you have in your machine, and how big is the sample?

That problem has nothing to do with the flash card drive. Once a sample is in memory, where it came from and how it got there doesn't matter. It just sounds like your sample is too big for the operation you are trying to achieve. Remember that something like slicing requires extra memory for temporary wavesample copies and such.

Pg 92 of the manual.

When you load a sample it is saved to RAM memory. Your sample is probably too big.
