triggering multiple samples

ok--couldn't find the answer to this by searching:

i need to figure out how to set my mpc1000 up so that when i hit a pad it will also trigger the samples assigned to another pad.

basically i want to want to layer samples, but give them different envelopes. unless i'm mistaken, all samples assigned to a given pad have to have the same envelope....

that ain't gonna happen unless you record in the other pad being hit too... if you want different envelopes on different samples then you are going to have to put them on different pads and then record them all in seperately.

Try this: Put your seperate samples/envelopes on two different pads. Then assign the 2 pads to the same MIDI note#.

After you record your sequence, play it back and see if both pads get triggered at the sample time.

Haven't tried this, but it might work.

I am pretty sure that only plays one. Remember all the `bugs` that people posted saying the the MPC triggered the wrong sample when in fact they re-assigned the pads and assigned two to the same midi note?
