exactly.
this is so important for live applications!
as far as i know jj equipped mpc's are the only mpc's that can do it.
switching sequences on the 4k was "after sequence end" or "sudden".
very disappointing.
the new arpeggiator is a cool feature too, im using it a lot on drum sequences too!
quick access to q-link parameters is another live-friendly tool.
the grid edit mode still feels a bit clumsy compared to 4k's, and the reduced polyphony can be a pain in the arse.
on the effect side, the sequence sync on the delays is a welcome improvement, while the 2 fx slots compared to the 4 slots on the 4k feels poor...but it is compensated by the master fx section.
the only thing i really miss is the huge modulation matrix and the additional lfo's and envelopes, but i filled the hole buying a waldorf blofeld to go along with the mpc in live sessions.
but most of all, the 4k is definitely a studio machine, mine had some problems a few times after being carried over for live applications, plus it weights a lot and is a huge machine.
playn live with two tiny machines such as 1k and blofeld is great after years of mpc2kxl plus a rack of stuff or mpc4000 being carried here and there,..
