was good fellas?ok im a noob so dont get all crazy on me cuz im bout 2 ask 4 a sample...aight im working on this beat and im trying to make a snare on the mpc1000 and i cant get right...is there anyone in here can teach me how to do it..if yall dont want to give the recipe y'all can personally [email protected]+++..stay up..1

there are many ways the best way imo

1. set TC to 1/32
2.Slow tempo (40-60%) or whatever you like i use 40%
3 lay your snare roll down (by playing faster than the tempo
4. Set the tempo back to normal


and there ya go


or you can always use Note repeat or even step edit

look if you want a dirty south drum roll, eat a dick.. coz they're wack!

if you want a pro drum roll, find a nice open snare of a record or break. if your lucky you have two or more of the same snare chopped from the break. with one of the lighter snares or any snare, set the attack to around 7-10 give or take, now play that snare with both hands playing a roll in or out of a snare/kick hit you have already layed down on another track. get me?

this is the method i use and i get GREAT results.
i could give you more info but you will get lost in drum terminology if you don't play.

^^^^^^^^^^^^haha,, eat a dic for a dirty south roll, haha nice method^^ ok, I think this is how they do the dirty south style,, get 4 of the same snare sample and lay them across 4 pads pitch the first one up slightly then the next one pitch down, the next down a lil more, and the last one pitch even further down, slow ur tempo of ur track down if you cat slam the pads too well yet and when you get to the part where the roll should come in "49-64" hit each pad 4 times starting with the highest pitched one and working down, hitting each pad 4 times will take up 16 measures,.. hope this helps...
