is the Time correct, the quantitize in the mpc 1000?

I have my man who said he uses quantitize in his drum pad when layin the drums down, which he said is to fix up a note on a drum pattern if its not in correlation with the other notes. for example, one note might be too late or too early and the quantitize would put it in its right place. Is that the purpose of the TC in mpc1k? because i seem to never figure out how it fully works.

oook. do u rather use it? or you manually correct your time?

I personally use a little bit of both. most of my drums dont get quantized

When I started using the mpc 2 years ago I used to quantized everything. Takes some time and practice to be able to perform some good real time programming.
Now I only quantize my snare to lock it down. Rest of it I program without TC. Layer my snares without TC.

oook i see, but i tried 2 use it before and the drums always came out sounding different thn i intended, so from there i always keep the TC off on everything but i can see why sometimes my drums would be kind of off.

I used to quantize everything but once I understood step edit I haven't had to quantized at all... but then again, no rappers are rocking my beats...lol
