Ambient sounds

looking for some records with that ambient/spacedout/mellow type sounds,sort of like what kev brown and dilla incorporate into hooks and choruses of their beats to give out that added effect, i thought i heard kev brown mention once that he used somethng for the superman soundtrack ..?

basically those harmonious voices/strings/ shit that puts u to sleep type of affect

Try filtering big orchestral string swells.

look for meditation or easy listening records. Also check for soundtracks and or the films themselves.

When you go digging, look stuff like Mystic Moods Orchestra, 101 Strings, classical recordings

alot of jazz fusion will have tones of cools sounds and regular jazz if u slow it down some ill tones will open up.
