Syncing DAW recording from MPC. Can this be done?

As you can see this is my first post, but I've done a lot of reading here. I've searched but can't find the answer, so here goes...

I have a MPC 2500, MPC 1000 (used for sampling), and Axiom Midi controller using FL Studio as a module. The MPC 2500 is the master. Whenever I play, the 1000 and FL will start playing with no problem. I record into either Audacity or Acid Pro 6 (yeah I know I should try Reaper). Now I want to record individual tracks out of the 2500.

Is it possible to have the software wait for input (MPC trigger) so I don't have to start recording each track manually (which I have to realign the tracks to sync them)? What I want to do is have the DAW wait for me to press play on the MPC, then all of the tracks will start recording at the same time. Am I making my self clear?

Ok. I went ahead and took Lampdog's advice and tried Reaper since I couldn't get Acid Pro 6 to do what I wanted. It does what I need for tracking out. Just gotta learn another DAW. At least this one is only $60. Just pissed off that I didn't know about Reaper when I bought Acid Pro (retail).

What programs work well with the MPC.Ive looked thru the manual, and I still have trouble figuring out alot of different stuff. For instance, I have thousands of different samles of a CF card. I have to manually sync each sound to each pad. Then I couldnt figure out how to save them, so everytime I turn off the MPC I have to go thru the process again. THERE ARE NO SOUNDS STORED IN THE 5000 at all, except Bank A of the Synth. (sorry for the caps it was an accident. All my equipment is new so its hard to figure it all out. I should have taken a music theory course first. Every time I record a simple drum pattern it does not play back how I hit the pads, I dont know time code or what it means/does. I 've googled, and still have'nt understood the terms they used when explaining it. Even my new Imac is a challenge to me, freshly coming from PC. I plugged the MPC into my Digi 003 control surface and have to record live single program beats into a audio track on pro tools. I just got my Denon DN-S3700 turntables, and trying to figure them out also.

I thought it would be great spending almost 18,000 on studio equipment all in 2 weeks, but I have so much to learn and so many manuals to read that its becoming a nightmare. I get so frustrated sometimes, that I feel like packing all this stuff up and putting in my storage room in the basement.

So pro tools doesnt do anything Id like with the 5000. What else (software) can I get that is less complicated. Also what generally will the program allow or involve by interacting with each other. Most of the programs are pretty expensive so I dont want to waste 400-500 on a program that sux with the MPC. I just learned that lesson with the Komplete 5 software. $400 bucks wasted IMO.

Im really sorry for rambling on, but I am so frustrated with my gear. I have stacks of manuals that still isnt clear because the termonolgy used. Thats why I said in my other post I need and would pay for a MPC tutor. Even if no one is in my area, maybe someone could help me out via 2-way webcam or some other type of arrangement. We could figure out some kinda payment via paypal. I really love music and want to make good music. Im just a little guidance away from being on track.

Yikes! (deep breath)
Buy a 1000 or a 2500, and the tutorial manuals sold here. They are flat out awesome on the fundamentals and their application. Master the techniques in there, and no beat making tasks will ever daunt you again.

Also, check out tweakheadz.com, (did I spell that right?) and start at the beginning. By the end, if you ain't catchin' on, well, ........ I know you will. Good luck, and can I borrow $30?

Like quiet suggested, both the 1000 and 2500 are good starter MPCs. Based on my limited experience and what I've read, I'd suggest a 2500 if you can afford it (and it looks like you can). The 1000 is good except for the pads suck compared to the 2500 IMO. I have both MPCs.

I bought a 1000 off of eBay with upgraded memory, JJ OS2 and a 120GB hard drive for $700. But before I got it I found a guy selling a like new 2500 for $800 so I jumped on it, therefore ending up with both.

Try Reaper for a starter DAW.

As for everything else, you just gotta read, read, read. I love this forum because it has so much info but I'm starting to hate it for the same reason. I'm spending more time reading than using my gear.
