so my MPC acted up about a month ago and got some lines on the screen... i can work around that...

i thought of getting a new screen, but the lines go away after is "heats up"... thats fine with me...

im planing on getting a Card Reader but i know the screen will get to on my nerves at one point...

i tired taking the XL apart and cleaning up the screen and all the connections and motherboard but still get lines...

every time i turn it one it seems more and more lines go dead... i dont want to get a new screen and have the same thing happen to it...

the only MPC i plan on change the XL for is the 4000 (not anytime soon unless i get a good deal on one) so i plan on sticking with this XL for a good min, but i dont want to waste money on something that will keep happening...

so i deff gonna grab the Card Reader but im just not sure about the screen... is it the wire, the screen, the connectors, motherboard???

thanks.

Well, being that Numark owns it all now, that would be Numark that sucks. Not Akai.

;)

I have gone to endless lengths to obtain or re-manufacture the 2KxL screens to no avail.

As has VST.... I even received some help from them in trying to get 'r dun..... again, to no avail.

There are simply components involved that are no longer available.
No longer manufactured. No replacements. Not superceeded or replaced. Dun.

There may be a glimps of hope in some troubleshooting and fiddling I've been doing with different products,
but it still is not 'right' and I am all but done trying.

I have an MP on it's way that will allow me more freedom, cause I don't wanna kill my guy's.

At any rate, if you need a 4K screen I can get those all day.... :)

Could it be the LCD Inverter PCB Board??? cuz only 5 lines looks permanent... the rest come on and off randomly...
