I'm using my mpc as the master controller for my sounds coming out of logic. Whenever I hit the play/start button on the mpc the volume automatically jumps to 127 for all sounds coming out of logic. I solved the problem by going into logic preferences and turning on the midi input filter for control changes, but then logic can't get the sustain pedal info coming from the MPC. I thought it was just logic. I loaded up pro tools and the same thing happens. Anybody know a workaround for this? Is this a bug. It doesn't happen with any other sequencers I have. Just the MPC 5000.

I found a quick fix, which is to go velocity on the mpc and lower the sound there. Is there something else i can do?

Thanks to anyone that can help.

Welcome to the MPC 5000 World....

Use the Mixer on the MPC.... U need to controll the volume on the MPC:
Press [MODE]+[MIXER](Pad7)
and then press f2 to get to the mixer for each track.

Thanks. Problem solved. That was just what I needed. I didn't know that feature was there. For those that don't want to go to the other thread to read it, just go to the mixer mode and chose F2 for the Track Mix, You can control the volume of each track. It will keep the fader in your software program from jumping up to vol 127 every time you start the track.

Thanks!
