The BIG difference with the 3K and the other newest MPCs is the Track Mute Screen which is pretty useful in live.

Mark De Clive-Lowe is an example of one of the best live MPC3000 performers I have ever seen.

Amazing to watch his live sequencing of MPC3000 and connected MIDI instruments.

All performed live.

No pre-sequenced material.

Good proof that the MPC3000 is a viable live performance tool when placed in a capable performers hands !

Rohan.

Good topic. I was going to ask a similar question.. I am a drummer. How could I use the MPC live along with drums and keyboards and synths? Is there any examples of drummers that use 'em? Although the guy you mentioned has some youtubes of himself playing, using the mpc3k and there's a drummer playing in the band as well.
