I know this is gonna sound silly.. but try going to a "music" school. A lot of people think it's a place for learning only, but it's a good place to network and interact with people. People who are like-minded and in the same industry is you. Maybe an engineer, knows another engineer, who knows this rapper blah blah blah.
"But doglamp, that has nothing to do with MC's at all." Yeah, I know but you've tried a "direct" approach so now try an indirect one (it's still kinda direct, lol).
And, remember why you got into making beats in the first place. Because you LOVE the music.
