haven't tried it with ctrl+shift and midi controller or pad key, but you can do it with the keyboard or even the mouse I think.

works pretty good too...I need that, better than just starting all the way over.

Cool, that's exactly what I needed, guess I need to spend some more time studying the quickstart guide lol. I don't know what midi controller you're using, but I use my Korg Micro X and I still can't access the first bank of each drum kit even when I take the octave button all the way down on the Micro X. Have you run into this problem?

I have had this problem... the midi mapping appears to be quite inaccurate. I believe it is off by two octaves if I'm no mistaken... A0 in the Virtual is like A2 in real life or something like that.

no, I use the emu exboard...it transposes down all the way to -4...which is where that bank is located

If your controller can't go down that low...then you may run into an issue...

did you download the key commands from my site?

I think it's a lot more helpful than the quickstart guide.

The MV-8000 is mapped out chromatically and the note numbers are clearly marked and they don't line up with the Virtual. Perhaps this is only the case with my version?

I don't have an mv...I can't tell you, all I can tell you is when I go down to my -4 octave I can play the first bank of sounds, and I can play every other bank on up depending on how many sounds are in the bank up to +4 or my emu xboard.

The reason the MV doesn't automaticly correspond to the Virtual is beacuse MV's, MPC's and Most all Pad controllers start out at midi note 36

our virtual is mapped to start on note 0. The reason for this is beacuse it is mapped to be played on an 88 note keyboard. If we started on 36 there would be no sounds on the first three octaves on a big keyboard like that.... However this created a problem for the pad controller users because in most of our kits the drums are mapped 0-36 and on 36 is usually SFX perc or synth bass etc.

Since we got allot of feedback from users regarding this we came up with a simple solution. We have added a note shift in our system menu so now when that's set to note number 36 it makes all the notes shift up 3 octaves meaning that now Controllers that start on 36 play note 0 on ours. So problem solved.

I'm testing it now with an MP controller and it's working great. We also added MMC so transport controls on the Controllers will also control virtual now!

These along with a ton of other Lil updates and fixes will be out next week.

Then comes all the auto chop and plug in stuff.

We just getting started. Users who have the virtual are already effecting the Development.

149$ and all of you can get on board....

Let's make something special..... Allot of these changes will also be added to the hardware so if you were wanting that get the virtual and start helping make it how YOU want. Plus you get 150$ off the hardware when you get the virtual.
