Yeah I was thinking about possibly getting rid of it. I'm glad I came to my mufuccin senses though! The 4k kicks major AZZ! I'm not going to part with this beast anytime soon!

It does have it's flaws, you know, but it's strengths far outnumber and outweighs those. All I'm saying is that I'm glad I kept it and decided to stick with this B!tch for better or for worse, Till death do us part! Especially with this new OS it's definitely for better!

That was funny, I think that the mpc2000 is a quick study, and sometimes I get bogged down on the 4K, but it is rock-solid timing wise and the HD is awesome.

the 4 midi outputs is sick, that's one of the biggest things for me, without having to use a midi interfaces or outputs. I'm messing with the sampler on the mc-909 and its pretty nice as well. ITs good because it has sounds built in that I can resample and tweek out and get sounding really gritty.

I feel ya dogg. The 4k is a great tool. Since i do alot more on the keyboard side of things, i pretty much use the 2k xl for the seq and the drums hits. For a person like myself a 4k would just really be over kill. The 4k is hot if you plan to do alot of sample base music first and then pick up a keyboard later(with the extra midi outs).

Yup, that's exactly what I'm planning to do. I'mjust doing my sample based ish for now and really getting to know the 4k, and I'm thinking of picking up piano as well. I got a 61key radium ready for me when I have the time and patience.
