Hey i have a MPC 4000 that wont power up! is there any quick things that i should check?

Swap a power cord with another one to rule out a power cord issue. You may have a blown fuse inside. if you are comfortable opening it up, make sure the power is off and check the glass fuses near the power supply to see if any are burnt out.
