Using MPC 500 as Midi Controller in Reason 4.0

Hey i just bought an mpc 500 & i'm planning to use it as a midi controller with Reason mostly using with ReDrum or NNXT but not sure how to make this work?? can anyone give me a hand with this i already tried the steps they have on the Akai website but that only allows me to use the mpc as a stop & go control basically im also new witht the mpc never used one before & want to make sure if it's convenient or else im returning it.

dunno, but i would of rolled w/ a 2k classic as a midi controller just for the fact that the pads and sensors are butter instead of the 500 and it would of been cheaper... 2...

Try the steps outlined some time ago on this site.

In future have a look around the various forums here and try out the search function BEFORE you post. You'll find that many of us use Reason which means that the most common issues will have been covered.
