Hi!

I have a problem loading samples. I made a beat. Then I save "ALL MEMORY" to one directory. Everything looks OK. There are PGM, WAV, ALL files and Project01.prj.

Shout down MPC, then turn on again. LOAD, Project01.prj, and then I have no sound. Sampler is playing but no sound on both channels (drums and bass).
I see PGM: ?JP R+B MT.A in program but there should be no "?" sign. I have to load two PGM's which includes these sounds separately and then change "Program only" to "With samples" and then it's working and no "?" sign.

What's the problem? The name of first program is "JP R+B MT. A.pgm" Maybe not allowed chars?

I use JJ_OS free.

Best regards

You can save in JJos Free, you can't save in the other JJos until you enter a password.
I had the same problem a couple of times, I don't have my MPC in front of me, but try loading a different file, not the project.

JJ_OS can save and load samples. I don't have problems with it all the times - from time to time.

I think the main problem is, that PRJ file doesn't load PGM files:
"PGM: ?JP R+B MT.A "
and the "?" sign - the program is loaded (?) but no samples inside the program and silent. When I load it (PGM) separately it's working.

I used the free JJOS version on the 1k for a while and I never had problems with loading and saving. But I don't save project files. Just the sequences and programs on by on to the same folder, and load up the complete folder when I need it later. So I also think it's the project format that causes the trouble.

Thanks man, I just realize I can load all folder and ... it's working. So I don't load PRJ file anymore, just "All Folder" with "clear" option.

You have right, probably it's a problem with PRJ file. I suspect, that maybe "+" sign is not allowed in filename (it's ok in FAT but not OK with MPC JJ OS). Sometimes it's working (PRJ) sometimes not.
