Samples & Vinyls

Alright so ive had an mpc 500 for a few months and ive been wantin to make east coasts beats. I'm lookin for guitar strong horns and strings and ive been buying songs off itunes to sample. Im not sure wat artists i should be lookin for or wat genre of music i should be looking in. Since in a few days i wana go buy some vinyls at the store wat should i look for?

since ur just starting, pick up some isaac hayes & see what u can find.

Seems like you are looking for 70's soul samples. Get what you can from the soul/funk sections, and learn from what you find.

A humble suggestion: Look up Stax/Volt. Kinda obvious, but you could ease into sampling that way.
