Ok, so there were shorts leading into the boot sector.
This was causing the unit to fail loading it's boot sequence.
To be honest, I can't believe she's alive, and I can't believe there isn't a hole burnt in the circuitboard (mainboard)
If that had happened, this thing woulda been screwed!!!
Might have been a slight chance of jumping some tracks point to point but that's always a last resort, and bad idea.
I'll try to get these pics up if they're not too large......

Not gonna give this away,
there appears to be a flaw in the design of the board that is probably a culprit in many failures
I'm gonna research the path a bit more, as I made a slight modification in there as well to prevent it in the future
If it holds up maybe I'll share

Ooooooh. The good stuff.

This section was fun.... two 'faulty' components. May still have functioned with the one funky, but woulda had issues.
I'm not gonna picture the other side as it would give away some mod work I did, and am doing.


At any rate. She was brought back to life.
Not really sure yet how much damage was really done, as shorts are pretty evil to things,
so some other components may have been stressed.
There's a couple parts stressing in the Power Supply too, so I gotta do that,
but she's stable and works fine so far. Added to the arsenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way. When replacing fuses, ALWAYS USE THE CORRECT FUSE!!!!

The one in here is a 4 amp when the PSU calls for 2 amp
This may be the reason the PSU got stressed, as it wasn't able to blow the 4 amp fuse while shorting.??
First thing I did was replace it with the proper F2AL 250V Slow Blow
And oddly, the PSU was curved.... like it was hit... and the top panel was bent.
I believe this unit was heavily abused, or dropped.
Had to do some work in there to correct multiple issues............
