I just had to turn the program to a different number in the MPC...dope!

does this work on the 2000xl too? I tried to do it, and it says master in program. this will make it save as that?

I can't get it... I changed the notes from the Program screen not the MIDI Screen...

Take into account I'm using the 2000XL...

I did this all in the midi screen, you have to go to where you assign them, go up to where it says program and then change it to master...

then start on A-01 and start changing the midi numbers to the smallest one and start running through the pads and banks, changing the numbers as you go along (1 at a time)

it worked for me and saved it also

I changed ti to Master and changed the numbers... Now if I shut off the MPC will it still stay as the Master program? Or do I have to save it somewhere or something...

No Idea on the 2k, check the manual, it must be possible.

I really don't think it is possible because if you read the Tutorial on MPC-Tutor about chopping breaks in Recycle to be used in your MPC... The site told you to create a .PGM called "Recycle" which was sequentially set-up with corresponding MIDI numbers... You had to load it each time you wanted to do this...

I just thought that from your description of the 60... You'd be able to do the same thing with the 2000XL... Akai scewed up on that one I guess...

Well, if you set it up in program, I imagine is per program, but it has to have a default when you just make a program. Wheather that is settable is the question.

The tutorial is not telling you to set it up that way always, but just for the application, it may still be possible. CHeck the manual.
