Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey guys,

MPC2000xl ver 1.14

Trying to sync my MPC as midi. I've read all the other post. However it's not working that easy for me. I was able to get the MPC to work as a controller through fruity loops but it only let me use the play and stop function.

I've tried midi time set both to 25, tried midi clock. I hope one of you gurus can help. I think it's just a setting on my MPC

what exactly are you trying to do when synching your mpc to fl studio?

are you trying to:

1) control fl studio with the mpc
2) control the mpc wit fl studio

you gotta explain.. do you just want to all the controls on your mpc do something in fl studio?

Yeah, sorry just reread, wasn't much help for you.

I'm not trying to run FL8 back into the MPC yet. I'm trying to use my MPC as a midi controller inside of FL8, reason 4 or PT8.

First t ime I ever pluged my MPC to the wall and to my uno interface it worked perfectly without me having to touch any settings. I turned the MPC off and went to bed. When I awoke. It would no longer work as a controller.

Any advice? Like I said. I've been through all the settings I know of. I've had my manual out, read the whole midi section.

maybe the midi notes are off... i dont know. possibly it is not set to the correct type of midi out.

also right click things in fl studio and pick the "assign parameter" or the thing like that, i forgot what it is called. then push a thing on the mpc.

I think the problem lies completely on the MPC.

The reaosn I say this is because when I hook the uno midi interface into my keyboard it lights up the sent LED. When I hook it up to the MPC the MPC does not light up the LED. Unless I put it on MIDI CLOCK then it stays solid and I can use the start/stop button on the MPC for fruity loops. That's not what I want though. I want all the pads to work my VST.

The first day when it worked it just lit the LED send when I hit the pad...now it wont work and I didn't change any settings.

I've concluded that the midi output on my MPC is good because it will send midi clock code..Its not the software because I know for a fact when the MPC is putting out signal..and it's not with the pads anymore.

There's a setting in the MPC that needs to be changed. Just havn't figured it out.

Thanks for your help thus far though.

i think your midi out (not midi clock) should be okay... go to the program screen and see if you can play with the midi notes the pads are assigned to... i believe you push shift+program and then f1? anyways you will see what I am talking about. then you push a pad and trn the jog wheel on the correct setting. see if you can make a sound come from doing that.
