Starting Over: Which MPC?

Whats up mpcf...I have a question i have 2 sell my XL. After i save up, i wanna be able to get an mpc with some 8 out or 10 out ability and link it up to a DAW for mixing and mastering, as I have sen my self becoming more of a producer then a beatmaker now. my stles include todays typical beats, but i also make boom bap joints like a pete rock joint with lo fi horns or a premo joint with hard drums...to w/e my own style which is just abstract. When i save up enough, which mpc wud be the ideal one for me, from experience if ayone has advice

If you want more current features the MPC2500 with JJ os should look after you well.

yeah current features are a must! what about the over all converters on the 2500. Would they be able, to say if I convert samples to 12 bit and beef them up, preserve the low end and mids very well?

The 2500 has a very transparent sound which some love and some hate. It suits me perfectly as I was tired of my XL imparting that sound onto everything I sampled.

I haven't done much physical sampling since I got my 2500 a few months back as I have a massive library of sounds loaded onto the hard drive, but my guess is that it will sample your source accurately without trimming any bass or mids.

It is without doubt a fantastic upgrade to the XL.

If you want that 12-bit sound, don't rule out buying a 12-bit sampler like a S900 or S950 and use it in conjunction with a 2500 or other modern MPC.

Well it just depends on you. I mean for what you want to do can be done all any of the Mpc's
