MPC3000 - IB-CRT - VGA monitor

Hi,

I'd like to connect a monitor via the IB-CRT vga connector. Would anyone know whether the output is 320 x 240 or 640 x 480?

what difference does it make... it should work on anything, no? all it is is some super plain text.

Unfortunately, it does not work on all monitors. That's why I'm asking. Thanks.

hmm.. i forget who posted his picture of his 3k running to his flat panel screen (it was pretty big too)


maybe it was in the pics of your cribs thread. it was a month or two ago.

you need an oldschool monitor, or i think a vga>dvi adaptor may be necessary... its vga though, not svga iirc...

I've got my 3000 hooked up to an old SGI F180 monitor -- 18" flat panel.

I think the monitor has to support sync on green for it to work -- but don't quote me on that... I'll have to see if I have my IB-CRT datasheet laying around still.

VGA ...

The ASUS VW161/VW161D series monitor from about 3 or 4 months back in manufacturing revisions worked ok when hooked up to my MPC3000.

These are common, compact, LCD, cheap and readily available.

You would want to check the current manufacturing revisions to see if they work though.
