Hi,

I've just aqcuired an mpc1000 with os2xl :-)

I'm trying to find an easy way to get up and running with my existing library - as it's quite large I don't really want to go all the way down to just wav files.

Is there any way I can convert from other formats to .pgm (or load .akp?) or failing that maybe a way to bulk convert directories to .pgm or load a directory of samples on the mpc and have them auto assigned to pads?

thanks
Jason

there is software that'll convert to mpc1000 format (e.g.translator) but i'll only convert to drum pgm's as opposed to 2xl's inst pgm's. with jjos some of the settings wont be right , note placements will be ok on os1 and 2 but on xl they might all be shifted up or down a pad/semitone (im not sure cause i havent tried that conversion yet and xl's note assignments are different)

with global pgm edit it shouldnt be too hard to tweakk the pgms once there loaded up in the mpc.

auto assignement to pads can be done with blue box which is free software and worth trying first rather than paying for a converter, again you might have to adjust some settings when there in the mpc.
